Worshipping in Spirit and in Truth

Last week, some of us worshipped together with others demonstrating and speaking out against racist violence and injustice in our country. On Friday night, a group of youth and young adults joined together at the Nelson-Atkins Museum to walk over to a peaceable demonstration at the Plaza. Wearing masks and keeping our distance from each other, we marched, led by a minister at Unity Southeast Church and kneeling for a few minutes in honor of George Floyd.

2020 Seniors Spotlight

This spring we've been spotlighting our 2020 high school seniors. Their last days of high school may not have gone as planned, but these youth have been active and loved members of our congregation, many of them since birth, and we celebrate their achievements and wish them well as they journey into the next chapter.

Families Gardening at Church

Children and families are assisting the Green Team in preparing the church grounds for spring and summer. The Dakan family did general clean up this week to keep the grounds tidy and help prepare for the flower planting.  Other families will be putting almost 800 begonias in the ground in the coming days.
